# Gateway Ticketing Alternative: Galaxy vs TicketingHub

Compare Gateway Ticketing Galaxy and TicketingHub for admissions, retail, food service, online booking, pricing and migration planning.

Compare Galaxy and TicketingHub for attraction ticketing, admission control, online sales and distribution. Choose around your venue’s requirements.

## Galaxy vs TicketingHub: start with venue requirements

Searching for a Gateway Ticketing alternative? Map what your attraction needs across admissions, website sales, retail and food service. Gateway’s Galaxy product family and TicketingHub overlap in ticketing, but a shared checkout requirement does not make every part of a venue operation interchangeable.

## What Gateway’s Galaxy platform offers

Gateway’s official product portfolio includes online and on-site ticketing, admission control, membership, CRM and reporting, hardware, and food and beverage and retail capabilities. Its food service and retail products are designed to connect these revenue sources with the wider attraction operation.

That breadth matters if your current Galaxy setup connects admissions with shops, restaurants or membership processes. Treat these as requirements to demonstrate in any replacement assessment, rather than assuming ticketing software alone covers the full scope.

## How Galaxy compares with third-party ticketing platforms

Build a comparison around a complete guest visit: online purchase, ticket delivery, gate scan, a shop or meal purchase, and any member entitlement. Check the systems involved, how records are reconciled and what happens when a connection is unavailable. Compare the actual configuration offered by each supplier.

TicketingHub is an option for website bookings, reseller availability and point-of-sale ticket sales. If you need specialist retail inventory, food ordering or existing gate hardware, ask for a specific demonstration and integration assessment. Do not assume those requirements are included simply because both platforms sell tickets.

## Compare a Galaxy quote with TicketingHub’s pricing

The Gateway product pages reviewed do not provide a universal public price for a Galaxy deployment. Request a quote identifying software, selected modules, hardware, implementation and ongoing services. A quote-based price alone does not establish that one supplier is more expensive.

TicketingHub charges 3% per successful online, OTA or card-paid in-person booking, with no monthly or setup fee. Cash sales are free. Operators can absorb the fee or pass it on; payment processing and marketplace commissions are separate.

Use the same sales mix and implementation scope for both calculations. Include payment processing, distributor commissions, required integrations and any separate equipment or service costs. Avoid comparing an enterprise package with only a transaction percentage.

## Check distribution and guest changes

List the resellers, ticket rules and admission equipment your attraction already uses. Test each required connection and the way availability changes after a sale. For TicketingHub, demonstrate eligible Magic Link booking changes using your own deadlines and policies; confirm the equivalent requirements with Gateway.

## Plan the switch around existing bookings

Before moving, agree which products, future reservations, customer records and vouchers can transfer, along with migration costs and timing. Test payments, refunds, availability and reseller connections before changing the live checkout. Existing agreements and payment-provider requirements still apply.

## Compare your operation in a demo

Bring a typical departure, your busiest day and a breakdown of website, reseller and walk-in sales. Ask the TicketingHub team to demonstrate the full booking and check-in journey against your requirements.
