The fee falls as the plan price rises. That only pays off at volume: moving from Start to Plus saves 0.25% per booking, so you need $40,000 a month in direct online sales before the extra $100 a month breaks even.
Why Viator is free on Bókun
Bókun and Viator share an owner, Tripadvisor. Viator bookings carry no Bókun fee on the standard plans, though Viator's own commission, typically 20% or more, still applies. One exception: operators who use Bókun's separate Channel Manager product to connect another booking system pay 0.5% to 1.5% on Viator bookings instead of 0%.
What Bókun's price doesn't include
- Card processing. The service fee is Bókun's; your payment provider's card rate applies on top.
- Marketplace commission. Viator, GetYourGuide and Bókun's own marketplace resellers take their cut before Bókun's fee.
- The free plan's limits. One user, no online selling. It is a back office for Viator bookings, not a booking system for your website.
Can you pass Bókun's fee on to guests?
Yes. Bókun lets you pass the service fee to the traveller or absorb it. The monthly plan is always yours.
What Bókun costs on $8,000 of bookings a month
The answer depends entirely on where the bookings come from, so here are two months of $8,000 in sales: one all direct, one half Viator.

Bókun vs TicketingHub on price
On these numbers Bókun is cheaper, and we'd rather say so than pretend otherwise. TicketingHub charges 3% on every booking with no monthly fee; Bókun charges $49 a month and 1.5% on direct bookings only. The break-even is around $3,300 a month in direct sales: below that TicketingHub's zero subscription wins, above it Bókun's lower percentage wins, and the more of your sales come through Viator, the further Bókun pulls ahead. What TicketingHub offers instead is a single number, no plan tiers to outgrow, no user limits, and no reason to route sales through one marketplace to get the discount. Operators who have moved from Bókun to TicketingHub usually cite complexity and sync reliability, not price; a few have moved the other way for Bókun's gift vouchers and marketplace.
