Looking for an alternative to Xola for tours or activities? Compare booking fees and card-processing costs separately, then test the booking journeys your team and guests rely on.

Xola booking fees and card processing are different

Xola’s pricing page advertises US credit-card processing at 2.39% plus $0.30, with rates varying outside the United States. That is a processing rate, not a complete software booking-fee quote. The page also describes a customer-paid partner fee, no subscriptions and no added OTA fees, and asks operators to contact Xola for pricing.

What Xola’s other published terms show

Xola’s Flex Standard Guest Pays support article describes a 6% service fee on online credit-card transactions, based on the subtotal before taxes and fees, subject to eligibility. Its signup page also states a 6% website booking fee and a one-time $199 implementation fee. Confirm which model, processing charges and implementation terms apply to your account.

TicketingHub’s published pricing

TicketingHub lists 3% per successful online, OTA or card-paid in-person booking, with cash sales free and no monthly or setup fee. Operators can absorb the booking fee or pass it to guests. Payment processing charges and marketplace commissions are separate. Confirm additional services and contract terms in your written proposal.

Compare matching fee categories

The previous comparison treated Xola’s 2.39% plus $0.30 processing rate as its complete booking fee. A valid cost comparison needs both suppliers’ software fees, processing costs and applicable terms. On £10,000 of booking value, a 3% software fee is £300 before separate charges; this alone does not establish a total-cost saving over Xola.

Who pays the fee at checkout?

TicketingHub allows operators to absorb its booking fee or pass it to guests. Xola documents a Guest Pays model and eligibility conditions. Ask both suppliers to demonstrate the final guest total, receipts, refund treatment and available fee settings with your own ticket prices.

Compare functions using real bookings

Xola’s tour-management page describes scheduling, capacity limits, booking cutoffs and varied pricing. Test those requirements alongside TicketingHub rather than assuming feature gaps from a pricing page. Confirm point-of-sale devices, distribution connections and any staff or equipment workflows separately.

Compare a complete reservation

Test your own products, ticket categories, shared capacity and checkout in a demo. Check confirmations, staff booking access, partner connections and any specialist operational requirements using real examples.

Customer changes and waivers

TicketingHub’s Magic Link offers eligible self-service changes according to product settings and deadlines. Digital waivers can use the separate Smartwaiver integration; confirm its subscription, signing journey and staff checks. Ask each supplier to demonstrate the equivalent process your team needs.

Plan the migration before switching

Agree scope, cost and timing before committing. Confirm which products, future reservations, customer details and vouchers can be imported from available exports. Reconcile capacity and existing orders, test refunds and payment-provider arrangements, and train staff before the cutover.

Choose using your own booking mix

Compare written quotes for website, partner, card-paid and cash sales separately. Include payment processing, marketplace commissions, optional services and how fees appear to guests. A headline percentage alone does not establish total savings.
