Reservations for free walking tours
Give guests a clear way to reserve a departure, find the meeting point and understand how your tour works. TicketingHub helps walking-tour operators organise bookable products, participant information and available places.
Free tours and free software are different

A free walking tour may use tips, pay-what-you-want contributions or another payment arrangement. That does not establish the software’s cost or mean every payment model is supported.
Before choosing a platform, demonstrate a zero-price reservation and agree how fees apply. Confirm the treatment of tips, deposits, paid extras, cancellations and no-shows. Avoid advertising a free reservation if checkout adds a mandatory charge.
Departure times, languages and group limits
Make each departure’s date, start time, language, duration and meeting point clear. Decide how many participants can reserve and how children, group bookings and walk-ins affect the allocation.
Ticket availability does not automatically assign a guide or resolve every staffing constraint. Test shared capacity where several products or languages use the same team.
Help guests find the right meeting point
Use confirmations and reminders to explain the exact meeting location, how to recognise the guide, arrival time, accessibility information and weather policy. Keep location details consistent across your website and sales channels.
Give guests a clear way to contact the team if they are delayed. Clear instructions can reduce avoidable questions without promising a specific reduction in no-shows.
Cancellations and unused places
TicketingHub’s Magic Link can let guests make eligible changes according to the options and deadlines configured for the product. Decide when cancellations close and how places return to availability.
Confirm how staff record arrivals and handle walk-ins. If deposits or no-show charges are part of your model, test authorisation, collection and refund handling before publishing the policy.
Distribution depends on the tour model
Check whether each marketplace accepts your specific free-tour or contribution-based product and what it charges. Supported connections do not guarantee that every product can be listed or sold on every channel.

Booking costs to confirm
TicketingHub’s standard fee is 3% per successful booking across online, in-person and OTA sales, with no monthly or setup fee. Payment processing charges and marketplace commissions are separate. Confirm the full cost for your booking and payment model.
For tours reserved at zero price or funded by tips, ask for a written explanation of the applicable charging arrangement. A standard percentage alone does not answer every free-tour scenario.
