Outgrowing Billetto? Keep your price yours.
Billetto is built for one-off events. If you run the same tour, boat trip, or attraction day after day, its per-ticket surcharge quietly raises your listed price against every competitor in your destination — and there's no reseller channel to fill the slots you can't sell yourself. TicketingHub is built for your kind of business, and operators rate it 5.0 on Capterra.
You pay 3% per online booking and nothing else. No setup fee, no monthly fee, and the fee is paid by you — not stacked onto your customer's checkout. Your first product can be live in minutes.
What is Billetto?
Billetto (sometimes spelled Biletto) is a self-service event ticketing platform founded in Copenhagen, Denmark in 2009 by Patrick Borre. It runs ticketing for over 50,000 events a year across 14 European countries, mostly one-off events: concerts, festivals, workshops, and club nights.
In July 2023, Billetto's management team and investors including chairman Joe Cohen, MC-Group, The Öhman Group, and VNV Global bought the company out through a holding company, Ballroom ApS, taking over from the Danish Export and Investment Fund. Founder Patrick Borre remains CEO, and the buyout announcement described plans to grow across Northern Europe; there is no indication Billetto is shutting down.
Billetto pricing: what the fee really costs you
Billetto publishes its pricing openly. The standard Essential plan charges 3.9% plus €0.90 per ticket, and by default that fee is added to the buyer's price at checkout, not deducted from the organiser's revenue, though organisers can switch it off and absorb it themselves. There is no monthly fee and no setup cost. Above roughly 1,000 tickets a year, a Growth plan offers the same fee or lower plus account management and homepage placement, with custom rates for high-volume events on request.
Do the maths for your own volume. Selling 10,000 pounds of online bookings a month at an average 25-pound ticket (400 tickets), Billetto's rate works out to roughly 1.75 pounds a ticket — about 700 pounds a month. Pass it to buyers and your listed price runs around 7% above competitors selling the same experience; absorb it and it comes off your revenue. TicketingHub charges a flat 3% — 300 pounds — paid by you, nothing added at checkout. The 400-pound difference is a good chunk of a seasonal guide's wages. Estimates from Billetto's published rate card; your ticket mix will vary.

Why operators switch to TicketingHub
Keep your listed price competitive
Billetto's fee is built to be passed to the buyer — fine for a one-off concert, but it quietly prices your tour above every other operator in your destination. TicketingHub's 3% is paid by you, nothing added at checkout. Your price stays your price.
Fill the slots you can't sell yourself
A single event page with a fixed date can't feed a business that runs every day. TicketingHub's channel manager pushes live availability to Viator, GetYourGuide, and other resellers in real time — midweek OTA demand lands in the same calendar as your direct sales, with no double-bookings to apologise for. Operators grew OTA sales 401% between 2022 and 2025.
Get your evenings back from the refund queue
Billetto reviewers point to slow refunds and hard-to-reach support as their main frustrations — and every one lands in your inbox. With Magic Link, a customer who needs to change plans reschedules, cancels, or swaps their booking for a voucher themselves; you keep the sale instead of issuing a refund. Our email validator catches typos at checkout, so every confirmation actually arrives — no more no-shows from a mistyped address.
Help at the hours you actually work
Booking problems happen on Saturday nights, not office hours. TicketingHub's support is real humans on chat and email, 24/7. Operators rate us 5.0 on Capterra, and support is what they mention most. As Hannah J., director, puts it: "It's refreshing to have a service that actually has good customer service."
What reviewers say about Billetto
Billetto sits at 3.7 out of 5 on Capterra, though from a very small sample of three reviews, so treat it as a light signal rather than a verdict. Trustpilot shows a stronger picture: around 4 out of 5 across more than 5,000 reviews. Recurring praise is a transparent fee structure and a straightforward event setup flow. Recurring complaints are slow refund handling after cancellations and difficulty reaching customer support by phone; one reviewer also flagged a high commission on Billetto's optional advertising add-on. Hard-to-reach support means you field the angry emails while a refund sits unresolved.
