BookMe NZ Integration
Combining the power of two great services, Ticketinghub and BookMe NZ make it easy for customers to find the best things to do in their area.
New Zealand runs on activities. Visitors don't come for the hotels — they come to jump out of planes, raft rivers, watch whales, and ride gondolas. Bookme has built one of the region's best-known marketplaces for exactly that, and for local operators it is a channel that can fill seats you would otherwise fly, sail, or drive empty.
TicketingHub's channel manager connects your live availability to Bookme, so the deals you list there sell from the same seat pool as your website and walk-up sales — with every booking landing in one dashboard.
What is Bookme?
Bookme is an activity booking website covering New Zealand, Fiji, and Australia. It positions itself as a one-stop shop for things to do — everything from skydiving and rafting to whale watching — and it is particularly known among travellers as the place to hunt for deals on experiences. Booking is deliberately simple: pick an activity, a date, a time, and a party size, and pay online.
That deal-driven audience matters to operators. Bookme shoppers are often already in the country, phone in hand, deciding what to do tomorrow or even this afternoon. They are exactly the travellers who can absorb your short-notice spare capacity — the two empty seats on the 2 pm jet boat that would otherwise earn nothing.
Why connect Bookme through a channel manager?
Selling last-minute inventory on a deals site only works if the availability is genuinely live. If you have to update Bookme by hand, you either hold back seats (and lose sales) or risk selling the same seat twice (and start your tour with an apology). The channel manager removes that trade-off.
- Live availability: Bookme sells from the same real-time seat pool as your website, phone bookings, and other OTAs.
- One dashboard: a Bookme booking drops into TicketingHub instantly and shows on the same manifest as every other guest.
- No re-keying: guest details arrive with the booking, so your check-in list is always complete.
- No overbooking: when the departure fills, it closes on Bookme automatically — no phone calls, no spreadsheets.
The existing integration is straightforward and affordable, with a simple per-booking integration fee on the TicketingHub side; your commercial terms with Bookme itself are agreed directly with them.
How operators use it
Filling short-notice gaps in adventure tourism
A Queenstown rafting operator with fixed departure times lives and dies by load factor. Listing on Bookme puts spare seats in front of deal-hunters already in town, and because availability is live, the operator can sell right up until the cut-off without fear of double-selling a raft.
Reaching the domestic market
Bookme is popular with Kiwis and Australians holidaying at home, not just international visitors. For attractions that depend on weekend domestic trade — hot pools, wildlife parks, harbour cruises — it is a channel that keeps working outside the international high season.
Multi-region operators
If you run products in both New Zealand and Fiji, or across the Tasman in Australia, one TicketingHub account manages all of it. Each product's availability is shared with Bookme individually, and reporting shows precisely what the channel is contributing in each region.
Getting set up
OTA connections in TicketingHub follow a consistent pattern: add a wholesale rate to the products you want to distribute, create a reseller record for the OTA, then create a channel with the permitted products and share its credentials. For Bookme, contact your TicketingHub account manager or support team to enable the channel and confirm the current connection steps on the Bookme side.
Before you rely on it, verify the link with a test booking: go through Bookme's checkout as far as the guest-details step, then open Orders in TicketingHub and filter for pending bookings. Seeing your test booking tagged with the reseller name confirms everything is flowing.
Common questions from operators
Is Bookme only for New Zealand operators?
No — Bookme covers New Zealand, Fiji, and Australia. If you operate in any of those markets, the integration works the same way.
Can I list only some of my products on Bookme?
Yes. The channel you create in TicketingHub contains exactly the products Bookme is allowed to sell. Keep premium departures direct-only if you wish, and list only what suits a deals audience.
Will discounted Bookme sales mix up my reporting?
No. Every booking is tagged with its channel, so you can see Bookme volume, revenue, and pace separately from your direct and other OTA sales.
What does the integration cost?
TicketingHub charges a simple per-booking integration fee on the connection. Commission and deal pricing on Bookme itself are agreed between you and Bookme.
How fast do bookings appear in my dashboard?
Bookings sync within moments — typically well under a few minutes. Your manifest and remaining availability update at the same time.
Does last-minute selling devalue my product?
Not if you control it. Because you decide which products and dates go into the Bookme channel, you can use it surgically: fill shoulder-season weekdays and short-notice gaps while your headline departures keep selling at full price on your own site. Deal channels work best as a yield tool, not a default price.
What happens if I need to close a departure at short notice?
Close it once in TicketingHub — for weather, maintenance, or a private charter — and it closes on Bookme and every other connected channel immediately. Guests already booked stay on your manifest, so you can contact everyone from one list.
