Stripe Integration
Stripe, one of the largest payment gateways, connects seamlessly with TicketingHub, the fastest reservation system for Tours and activities.
Why connect Stripe to TicketingHub?
Stripe is the payment gateway most TicketingHub operators choose, and it is the one we recommend for online card payments. The reason is simple: it is the only gateway in TicketingHub with fully direct processing. Money from every booking flows straight into your own Stripe merchant account, TicketingHub's per-booking fee is deducted automatically, and there is no manual invoicing or end-of-month reconciliation to do.
Connecting Stripe to your TicketingHub dashboard takes a few minutes, so you can start accepting card payments on your website the same day you set up your account.
What is a payment gateway?
A payment gateway is the software that securely captures a customer's card details at checkout and passes them to the banking network for approval. It reduces the risk of fraud, checks the customer has the funds for the purchase, and makes sure merchants like you get paid.
To process transactions online you need both a payment processor and a payment gateway. Stripe combines the two in one service.
So, why Stripe?
Launched in 2011, Stripe has grown into one of the largest payment platforms in the world, trusted by companies such as Amazon, Shopify, and Spotify. Because it bundles the gateway and the processor together, there is only one account to open, one dashboard to check, and one predictable fee structure.
Stripe is certified as a PCI Service Provider Level 1 — the most stringent level of card-security certification — so your customers' card data is handled to the highest available standard. TicketingHub itself never stores or accesses card numbers; payment details travel over SSL-encrypted connections directly between your customer and Stripe.
How the Stripe integration works
You connect your own Stripe account to TicketingHub — TicketingHub never holds your money and does not process payments on your behalf. Once connected, every online booking made through your website widget is charged through Stripe automatically. Here is what that gives you in practice:
- Direct payouts. Stripe settles funds to your bank account on the payout schedule you choose in Stripe, without TicketingHub in the middle.
- Automatic fees. TicketingHub's booking fee is deducted per transaction, so there are no separate invoices to pay and nothing to reconcile at month end.
- 3D Secure built in. The checkout supports 3D Secure authentication, keeping payments compliant with European Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) rules.
- Refunds from your dashboard. When you amend, cancel, or refund a booking in TicketingHub, the card refund is pushed through Stripe for you — no need to look up the charge in a second system.
- Payment request links. Taking a booking over the phone or by email? Send the customer a secure payment link from the dashboard and the payment lands in the same Stripe account.
What can you do with Stripe and TicketingHub?
Sell tickets on your own website, around the clock
Embed the TicketingHub booking widget on your site and customers can book and pay by card at any hour, in your currency, without being redirected to a third-party page. Availability updates in real time, and each successful Stripe payment confirms the booking instantly.
Take phone and email bookings without chasing payment
For bookings your team creates in the back office, you can request payment with a secure link instead of reading card numbers over the phone. The customer pays in their own time, the order is marked as paid automatically, and your card-security obligations stay with Stripe.
Keep your accounting clean
Because TicketingHub fees are deducted automatically from each Stripe transaction, your payouts arrive net and your books stay simple: one payment stream, one fee line, no cross-checking invoices against bookings. Many operators' accountants notice the difference at their first month-end.
How do I connect Stripe to TicketingHub?
Connecting takes just a few steps from your TicketingHub dashboard:
- Select your supplier name in the dashboard and go to Settings → Integrations.
- Open Payment Providers, find Stripe, and select Activate.
- Sign in to the Stripe account that should receive your payments and approve the connection.
- Back in Payment Providers, check that Stripe shows as active.
We recommend making a low-value test booking through your widget, confirming it appears as paid in TicketingHub and in your Stripe dashboard, and then refunding it. Stripe may ask you to verify your business or bank account before all payout features are available.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need my own Stripe account?
Yes. TicketingHub does not process payments on behalf of suppliers — you connect a Stripe account that you own and control, and your revenue is paid out by Stripe directly to your bank.
When do I receive my money?
On the payout schedule set in your Stripe account (daily, weekly, or monthly, depending on your country and preferences). Because processing is direct, TicketingHub never holds your funds.
How are TicketingHub's fees charged when I use Stripe?
Your TicketingHub booking fee is deducted automatically per transaction. Unlike gateways connected through PayPal or Spreedly, where fees are invoiced separately, Stripe requires no manual invoicing at all.
Can I issue refunds without leaving TicketingHub?
Yes. Process the refund on the booking inside TicketingHub and the amount is returned to the customer's card through Stripe automatically, keeping your booking records and your payment records in sync.
Is the checkout secure?
Yes. Card details are captured by Stripe, a PCI Service Provider Level 1, over SSL-encrypted connections. TicketingHub never stores or even sees your customers' card numbers, and 3D Secure authentication is supported for SCA compliance.
What if Stripe doesn't support my country?
Choose PayPal, or connect the local gateway you already use through our Spreedly integration, which supports more than 100 gateways worldwide. Your TicketingHub features stay the same whichever gateway you pick.
