Airbnb Experiences Supplier Integration
Become an Airbnb Experiences supplier and manage availability and bookings alongside your other sales channels in TicketingHub.
Host an Airbnb Experience and manage it like the rest of your business
Airbnb is a household name that travellers already trust for their accommodation, and its Experiences programme puts tours and activities in front of that same enormous audience. The catch, historically, was operational: Airbnb bookings lived in Airbnb, and your calendar lived somewhere else. TicketingHub's Airbnb integration closes that gap — your availability syncs to Airbnb automatically, and Airbnb bookings drop into the same dashboard and manifest as every other sale.
The integration is currently in private beta — contact the TicketingHub team and we'll enable it for your account.
What is Airbnb Experiences?
Airbnb Experiences is Airbnb's marketplace for tours and activities led by local hosts — cooking classes, guided hikes, wine tastings, city walks and much more. Hosts are vetted, and the emphasis is on insider access: experiences that feel personal rather than mass-produced. For guests, booking an experience sits naturally alongside booking a place to stay, which is exactly why the audience is so valuable to operators.
Because Airbnb's brand recognition is among the strongest in hospitality, listing there reaches travellers who might never find your website — including many who decide what to do only after they've booked where to sleep.
What the integration actually does
Once a TicketingHub product is connected to an Airbnb activity, TicketingHub becomes the source of truth for its schedule:
- Availability syncs automatically — changes to capacity, time slots or bookings in TicketingHub update Airbnb, with scheduled instances pushed up to a year ahead.
- Bookings sync back — Airbnb orders appear in your TicketingHub dashboard; updates and cancellations made on Airbnb flow through automatically.
- Guest types map to your tickets — Airbnb's adult, child and infant guests map to your adult, child and baby ticket types.
- Messaging stays on Airbnb — Airbnb doesn't share guest emails or phone numbers, so booking confirmations and broadcasts you create in TicketingHub are delivered through Airbnb's messaging platform.
Who gets the most out of it
Food, drink and craft hosts
Cooking classes, wine tastings and workshops are the heart of Airbnb Experiences. These products run small groups on frequent slots — exactly the kind of schedule that's painful to maintain in two systems and effortless when one calendar drives both.
Walking tours and city guides
City walking tours sell well to guests who've just arrived and are browsing Airbnb for things to do nearby. With the sync live, a tour that fills up from your own website automatically stops selling on Airbnb — no oversold groups on the day.
Outdoor and adventure guides
Guided hikes and outdoor experiences benefit from Airbnb's international reach, and public group slots support up to 16 guests each — a natural fit for guide-led group sizes.
Before you connect: the checklist
A few prerequisites keep the sync clean. You'll need to be a verified Airbnb host with a published activity — pricing and activity setup still happen on Airbnb's side. The activity's time zone and duration must match the TicketingHub product, it must be set to public bookings only, and your product needs a ticket for each guest type you accept. You'll also create a reseller record with the OTA field set to Airbnb, so bookings are attributed correctly.
Two Airbnb-specific rules worth knowing: time slots must start on 15-minute boundaries (10:00, 10:15 and so on), and booking notice periods must use one of Airbnb's supported values (from no notice up to 7 days).
How to connect
Ask us to enable the beta for your account, then go to Settings → Integrations, find Airbnb under OTAs and click Activate. You'll be redirected to Airbnb to authorise the connection. Back in TicketingHub, open your product's Integrations tab, pick your Airbnb activity from the dropdown (Sync Activities refreshes the list), and click Connect. You'll see a side-by-side comparison of your TicketingHub settings and the current Airbnb settings before anything changes — review it carefully, because connecting replaces the Airbnb schedule with the TicketingHub one. Confirm, and you're synced.
Frequently asked questions
Can I edit an Airbnb booking in TicketingHub?
No — orders created through Airbnb are locked in the TicketingHub dashboard. Changes and cancellations happen on Airbnb and sync back automatically.
Will connecting overwrite my existing Airbnb schedule?
Yes. On connection, the TicketingHub schedule replaces what's on Airbnb — that's why the connection screen shows you a before-and-after comparison first. Existing Airbnb bookings made before connecting are not imported into TicketingHub.
Are private group bookings supported?
Not yet — only publicly bookable experiences can be connected at the moment. Historical private bookings on your Airbnb account are fine; they just aren't synced.
How do I contact guests who booked via Airbnb?
Through Airbnb's messaging platform. Airbnb doesn't pass on guest email addresses or phone numbers, so messages you create in TicketingHub are delivered via Airbnb rather than email or SMS. Booking confirmations and broadcast messages are supported today.
What happens if I disconnect?
You can disconnect a single product from its Integrations tab, or revoke the whole account connection under Settings → Integrations. Availability slots already created on Airbnb remain there — they aren't automatically deleted — so tidy up the Airbnb calendar afterwards if you need to.
How many guests can each synced slot take?
Up to 16 guests per public time slot — that's Airbnb's limit for public groups. Each slot carries its own correct capacity from TicketingHub, so guests can never book beyond what you actually have.
