TourDesk Integration
Online booking system and reservation software + OTA integration in one platform. Sync sales and centralize management. Learn how TicketingHub can help your tours.
The concierge desk, reinvented
Ask any operator where their best in-destination bookings come from and the answer is often the same: hotel recommendations. A guest asks the front desk what is worth doing, the receptionist suggests a tour, and a booking follows. TourDesk takes that moment — one of the highest-converting moments in travel — and turns it into an organised, digital sales channel.
TourDesk is a tour-booking service for hotels, hostels and guesthouses. It gives guests a hassle-free way to browse and book tours during their stay, and gives accommodation providers a professional answer to the eternal question of what to do tomorrow. For operators, it means your products are on the menu at the exact moment guests are deciding.
What is TourDesk?
TourDesk works with accommodation providers to offer their guests a curated selection of local tours and activities, bookable online. Guests get a wide range of options that fit their travel style without trawling the whole internet; accommodation staff get a single trusted system to recommend from. TourDesk connects directly to the systems of tour operators, restaurants, car rental companies and more — and for your side of that equation, the connection is TicketingHub.
For the accommodation provider, offering tours is a service that improves the guest's stay. For the guest, it is convenience with a stamp of trust. For you, it is a sales force of front desks recommending your products — without hiring anyone.
How the integration works
TicketingHub connects TourDesk through the channel manager, so hotel-driven bookings behave exactly like the rest of your sales:
- Live availability — TourDesk sells from your real-time calendar; a full departure is closed to hotel guests the moment it fills anywhere.
- One dashboard — TourDesk bookings arrive alongside your website, walk-up and OTA sales in a single Orders view and manifest.
- No manual handling — no phone calls from receptionists, no emailed vouchers to re-type — bookings and guest details land automatically.
- Channel reporting — see exactly how much business the accommodation channel drives.
Where TourDesk shines for operators
Winning the in-destination booking window
Many travellers arrive with only part of their itinerary planned and decide day by day. TourDesk reaches them after arrival, through their accommodation, precisely when they are choosing between tomorrow's options. Live availability means even tonight's or tomorrow morning's departures are sellable — spaces that would once have gone unsold simply because no channel could offer them in time.
Hotel partnerships without the paperwork
Operators have always courted hotels and hostels for referrals, but managing dozens of individual arrangements — brochures, phone bookings, commission ledgers — does not scale. A TourDesk listing gives you distribution through its accommodation network with the admin handled digitally.
Reaching guests your marketing never will
A guest at a guesthouse may never search for your brand or open an OTA. But they will ask where they are staying for advice. Being in the system their accommodation trusts puts you in front of travellers who are otherwise invisible to your marketing — and a recommendation delivered at the front desk converts in a way a banner ad never will.
How to connect
TourDesk is enabled as a channel with our team's help — contact your account manager or support to start. On the dashboard side, follow the standard reseller flow: add a wholesale rate to the products you want offered, create a reseller profile, then create a channel containing those products. Once enabled, verify the link with a test booking and check that it appears in TicketingHub's Orders list tagged with the reseller name. From that point on, front-desk recommendations turn into confirmed orders without anyone at your end touching a thing.
Frequently asked questions
Who actually makes the booking — the guest or the hotel?
Both happen. Guests can book themselves through TourDesk's guest-facing service, and accommodation staff can assist at the desk. Either way the booking reaches you the same way: automatically, into your TicketingHub dashboard.
Can TourDesk sell out a departure I have already filled?
No. The channel sells from your live availability, shared across every outlet, so overbooking through a hotel recommendation is off the table.
What kinds of operators fit this channel?
Day tours, sightseeing, food and culture experiences, and activities close to accommodation clusters do especially well — anything a front desk would naturally recommend to a guest with a free day.
How are commissions handled?
Commercial terms are agreed between you and the channel, as with any reseller relationship. TicketingHub automates the operational flow regardless of the terms.
Does this replace my own reseller arrangements with hotels?
Not necessarily — TicketingHub also supports direct reseller logins and widgets for individual hotel partners you work with yourself. TourDesk adds a network of accommodation providers you have no direct relationship with; many operators run both in parallel.
Do I need to negotiate with each hotel individually?
No — that is the point of the network. Your relationship is with the channel; the accommodation relationships are TourDesk's side of the arrangement. One connection puts your products in front of guests across its partner properties.
